Most of the work done in the field of Typography so far is mostly based on the 2 Dimensions and a huge degree of experimentation has already been done with X and Y axes. Nowadays, we have 3D Design tools which are mostly used for 3D Animation and Motion Graphics. But, just like any 2D design software these 3D design tools can also be used to create beautiful Typography compositions.
This workshop will teach you the basics of using Cinema 4D which is a 3D design software and how one can use primitive shapes such as Circle, Square, and Triangle to render beautiful letterforms in a 3D Environment. The workshop will touch on 3D Modelling, Texturing, Lighting, and Rendering of a scene.
The participants of the workshop should install Cinema 4D and Adobe Photoshop beforehand. The trial version of Cinema 4D available on https://www.maxon.net/en/try.
It is strongly recommended that the participants should try to familiarize themselves with the interface of the software beforehand for a smooth learning experience in a short period of time.
