Norbert is a mathematician and logician by education, currently working at Fujitsu research and development on machine learning. Already early on he got hooked onto foreign languages, mostly due to different writing systems, which led to about 15 different languages and several writing systems Norbert is more or less fluent with. Since his move to Japan in 2009 he grew a serious interest in Japanese typography and contributed to various projects related to fonts, typesetting, and typography.
